Position Description Senior Electrical Engineer - Ludlow, MA Serco is seeking an Senior Electrical Engineer to perform non-routine and complex assignments to provide support operation functions for associated US DoD contracts with the execution of design, production, repair/overhaul and integration work in accordance with the overall production plan. The Senior Electrical Engineer will define system/component block diagrams, identify candidate components, and analyze electrical performance utilizing available CAD tools. Collaborate with customer, senior staff and program management to negotiate/resolve specification, performance, schedule, and delivery issues. In this role, you will:
Oversee the production and repair of complex electro-mechanical assemblies such as antenna pedestals, radio room equipment racks, and lower-level components, troubleshooting issues as they arise and documenting resolutions accordingly Assist with electrical design of test equipment utilized to assess health of antenna pedestal systems Develop schematic diagrams for both analog and digital circuits and simulate accordingly with LT Spice Utilize knowledge of PXI and VME platforms for development of test equipment Develop LabVIEW software to support automated test routines associated with test equipment Ability to identify and resolve electrical performance issues. Prepare for and conduct preliminary design, critical design and production readiness reviews (and other reviews as appropriate) following the Serco Gate Review process. Coordinate the assembly and testing of prototype and pilot production modules with Operations. Debug, tune and test prototype and pilot production units. Conduct/Support product qualification testing. Supervise and/or assist in the design development of assembly aids, test fixtures, test stations, burn-in fixtures, etc. Leverage internal network (engineering and manufacturing resources) to identify and/or address gaps and develop new solutions for customer requirements or emerging problems. Understands trends, developments, and innovations in the role/field/industry and how they may apply to customer engagements. Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelors degree and 5-7 years experience. US Citizen Additional desiredexperience and skills:
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance Experience in analog and digital circuit designs and experience with circuit simulations tools such as LT Spice Knowledge of various motor controllers and drivers Knowledge of FPGA capabilities including software development and implementation desired but not required. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
