The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for the supervision of the Resident Food Service workers in the course of the daily operations of Food Services, including food preparation, distribution of meals on the serving line, as well as insuring proper delivery of all meals throughout the facilities.
The Kitchen Assistant is also responsible for ensuring all food is labeled and stored properly as well as ensuring that all equipment, utensils, and food supplies used in the course of their duties are inventoried and stored properly.
The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures in regard to Food Service sanitation and cleanliness are adhered to by all Food Service workers.
